Costa Rican Journal of Social Work
1. Site Identification
This website, available at the Costa Rican Journal of Social Work, hereinafter referred to as “the Journal,” is managed by the College of Social Workers of Costa Rica.
Access to and use of this site implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Purpose of the Site
The purpose of this site is to disseminate academic and scientific knowledge in the field of social work through the publication of articles, essays, research papers, and other editorial content.
It also facilitates the management of editorial processes through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
3. Conditions of Access and Use
Access to the site is free of charge. However, certain services (such as article submission or editorial management) require prior registration.
Users agree to:
- Use the site lawfully and in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Refrain from actions that may affect the availability, security, or proper functioning of the system.
- Not use the content for unlawful or unauthorized purposes.

The opinions expressed in the articles are the sole responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the position of the Journal or the publishing institution.
The Journal does not guarantee the absence of errors in the published content.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Journal shall not be held liable for:
- Interruptions in the website service.
- Technical or security failures.
- Loss of information resulting from the use of the system.
- Content from external linked sites.
Use of the site is at the user’s own risk.

The following are expressly prohibited:

Modifications will take effect upon publication on the site.
12. Applicable Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the country.
